ABOUT US
LearnEnglishFeelGood.com was started by three friends - Armen Abalian, Robert McAlister, and Michael French. We wanted to create an ESL portal that looked good and had useful exercises and information for both ESL students and teachers. We launched the site back in August, 2006, and since then, the site has expanded to almost three times it's original size! We have since launched other ESL sites - BusinessEnglishSite.com, ESLPDF.com, EnglishForMyJob.com, and Infosquares.com - all of which are 100% free and have lots of good grammar and vocabulary exercises. We devote a lot of our time to these sites, adding new exercises and sections as often as we can. We're thankful for any donations - they help in keeping the sites up and running!
Armen Abalian is a Los Angeles, CA native who has been working as an freelance ESL teacher for about four years. He sometimes goes by "Harmon Abilene", a nickname which comes from how most people pronounced his name while he was living in Memphis, TN. Having worked in IT for many years, he designed and developed all of our websites, and is responsible for content management and updates. Armen is no stranger to the language learning process - He himself speaks five languages.
Rob McAlister has a lot of experience working in the entertainment industry (mostly doing public relations for independent bands). He is also an excellent teacher, and has taught English in the United States, Canada, and the Czech Republic. Robert speaks English, Spanish, and French, and like all of us, bases his teaching approach on methods that were useful to him as a language learner. Robert lives in Toronto, Canada, where, among other activities, he volunteers teaching new immigrants about life in Canada.
Michael French has an MA in English from the University of Tennessee. He has been working as an ESL teacher for about seven years (in the United States, Japan, and South Korea) and has been involved in several prominent e-learning websites. He has a deep understanding of the language-learning process, and knows a lot about regional dialects and variations of English.
We hope you enjoy our site and find it useful :) If you have any questions, please contact us.
